MLB game forecasts week of 5/13

Monday, 5/13

Marlins @ Tigers: a broad area of showers and storms will be crossing Michigan Monday afternoon and evening; while most of these storms look to stay north of and northwest of Detroit, the risk is there for a few showers/storms to approach the Motor City and cause a delay.

Cubs @ Braves: widespread showers and storms; high likelihood of a delay or two; moderate risk of postponement

Nationals @ White Sox: widespread showers/storms in the area, ongoing through most of the afternoon and evening; high likelihood of postponement

Tuesday, 5/14

Phillies @ Mets: showers and storms moving into the area; high risk of postponement; delay likely

Blue Jays @ Orioles: models disagree on extent of showers/storms over Maryland; so for now I’m putting in a low risk of a few showers. Should just be a delay at most

Marlins @ Tigers: a few showers possible early, then clearing. Slight risk of a delay at the beginning.

Rays @ Red Sox: showers/storms moving into the area; moderate risk of postponement, high risk of delays

Wednesday, 5/15

Blue Jays @ Orioles: slight chance of a shower or two but delay risk looks low

Mets @ Phillies: a few showers possible moving inland from a coastal low pressure system but delay risk looks low at this point

Yankees @ Twins: a few showers moving through central Minnesota; moderate risk of delay, low risk of postponement

Thursday, 5/16

Pirate @ Cubs: showers/storms in the area from afternoon through evening; high risk of postponement; delays likely

Friday, 5/17

Pirates @ Cubs: scattered storms in the area most of the afternoon; slight risk of delay; postponement unlikely

Nationals @ Phillies, Mariners @ Orioles, and White Sox @ Yankees: 1 of 3 models shows a line of storms moving through the northeast and Mid-Atlantic Friday afternoon/evening; I favor the other two that show nothing going on weather-wise in this timeframe but felt I should mention the possibility just in case; keep an eye on the forecast mid-week for these games.

Padres @ Braves: a few scattered showers/storms in the region but delay risk looks low at this point in time

Red Sox @ Cardinals: a few showers/storms possible early, then quickly clearing; delay risk is low

Saturday, 5/18

White Sox @ Yankees: a few showers/storms in the area; slight risk of a delay but postponement unlikely

Mariners @ Orioles: scattered showers possible; slight risk of delay

Nationals @ Phillies: a few showers/storms possible in the area; slight risk of delay but postponement unlikely
